An elegant experience

You’ll appreciate the unique setting of L’Axel, an unusual blend of two worlds with a simple, understated feel, just like the restaurant’s cuisine. Enjoy the restaurant’s soothing feel as you sit down to a meal in a light, bright dining room, with a minimalist, contemporary décor.

Creative cuisine

The restaurant’s à la carte menu features inventive dishes which reflect the dual heritage of L’Axel’s chef Kunihisa Goto. Here, French fine dining borrows from Japanese cuisine: in this way, the chef returns to his roots, with Japanese flavours at the heart of his menu. Boasting an impressive range of more than 700 bottles, the restaurant’s incredible wine cellar has been developed by Vanessa Blondeau, the chef’s long-standing partner.

An experience designed to be shared

The joy of eating comes from sharing: offering diners an authentic and heartfelt culinary experience, treating the ingredients of every dish with real respect and passing on knowledge and expertise from generation to generation are some of our key values.

Three addresses, side by side

In the same street as L’Axel, Rue de France, you’ll find two other addresses run by the chef Kunihisa Goto and Vanessa Blondeau: Fuumi, a typical Japanese brasserie, and L’A Pâtisserie KG, a pâtisserie which shares L’Axel’s approach, reinventing traditional French desserts with a subtle Japanese twist, a nod to the chef’s roots.
